Oby Ezekwesili, a former minister of education and supporter of the Labour Party (LP), criticized Festus Keyamo, the APC presidential campaign council’s chief spokesman, for signing a petition against Peter Obi, the LP’s presidential candidate, and Datti Baba-Ahmed, the vice presidential candidate.

According to Information Nigeria, the APC campaign claimed that Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed’s post-election statements and behavior violated the laws against treason and incitement in a petition letter dated March 23, 2023.

The APC council’s call for peace and national healing, according to the Minister of Labor and Employment, is not a sign of weakness, he claimed on Thursday via his Twitter account.

The petition was filed hours after Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed claimed that Nigeria didn’t have a president-elect.

However, Ezekwesili responded on Twitter, claiming that Keyamo’s petition is an attempt to destabilize Nigeria and asking the APC if the nation is a joke to them.

“I witnessed a ridiculous piece of nonsense by a Minister in the @NigeriaGov of @NGRPresident @MBuhari, stoking the embers of destabilization of Nigeria by goading and inciting @OfficialDSSNG to arrest the @NgLabour Presidential Candidate and his VP. Are you people joking about Nigeria?

“Let me share with @OfficialDSSNG @NigeriaGov @NGRPresident and the leaders of the ruling Party @OfficialAPCNg a very sage saying from our neighbors, the Ghanaians: If no one advises you, advise yourself. A simple word can stop foolishness in its tracks.
