According to the Police Service Commission, no formal examination date has been given for applicants in the ongoing recruitment of young Nigerians for the Nigeria Police Force’s Constable cadre.

In a statement, Head of Press and Public Relations Ikechukwu Ani cautioned applicants to disregard dates that are now trending on social media.

He continued by saying that the Commission would contact the applicants who passed the screening process and formally announce the exam date at the right time.

The Police Cybercrime Unit was instructed by the Commission to look into the publication’s origin and apprehend the offenders as soon as possible so they can face legal action.

Regarding the current recruitment process, the Commission cautioned potential candidates to ignore “any communication or updates that are not officially issued by the Commission through its recognized media platforms.”

“We advise applicants to be patient and wait for the Commission to formally announce the exam date.

“Those candidates who made the short list and advanced through the screening process will also receive official notification of the date.”

According to the statement, the Commission will keep making sure that criminal elements, who have persisted in coming up with new ways to deceive innocent Nigerian youngsters, did not hijack and dilute the recruitment process.
