The statement says that Governor Ganduje talked in his Eid-el-Fitri message on April 21. His time as governor will finish on May 29 after being there for two terms.

The governor said he doesn’t have bad feelings towards anyone, and has forgiven those who spoke badly about him in the past.

I’ve forgiven anyone who said mean things about me for reasons I don’t know, and now I’m asking for your forgiveness too for anything wrong I did to you. He said, “If we have hurt someone, please forgive us. I have forgiven those who hurt me, no matter how bad it was.”

Abba Yusuf from the New Nigeria Peoples Party won the Kano state governorship election, even though Yusuf Gawuna from the All Progressives Congress was supported by Governor Ganduje.
