Following Arsene Wenger’s induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame, Nwankwo Kanu sent his congratulations to the former head coach of Arsenal.

On Wednesday, Wenger was inducted alongside Sir Alex Ferguson, a legendary former manager of Manchester United and an old rival of Wenger’s.

The 73-year-old was one of the Premier League’s first foreign managers when he joined Arsenal in 1996.

The former Monaco manager stayed with the North London team until 2018, bringing a number of revolutionary football philosophies to the English game.

From Serie A club Inter Milan, Kanu was acquired by Wenger for Arsenal in January 1999.

Two Premier League and FA Cup championships were won during his five years with the Gunners, where he played.
