There’s a problem with who is in charge of the National Assembly. It’s made the two parts of parliament split up based on where people live and what religion they follow. Soon, the South-west part will have the most power. But the North-west wants something in return for helping the president-elect the most.

The new lawmakers from a particular area want someone specific to be in charge of the Senate. This is causing problems with other lawmakers from other areas who feel like they aren’t being treated fairly. Some want a leader who shares their religion and background.

If a person from the North-west becomes Senate President, they will be Muslim. This could upset people in the South-east and South-south because both the President-elect and Vice President-elect are also Muslim. There is also a disagreement about who should become Speaker of the House of Representatives. Tinubu needs to gather his party leaders and members who won elections for the National Assembly to decide on who should be leaders based on where they come from and what religion they practice.

The new president needs to choose capable people for his group of helpers in the next month. This will help him start his job more easily after he becomes president. Last time, the president took six months to choose his helpers, but people hope the new president will do it faster.

Tinubu has a big problem when he comes back. He needs to figure out how to get rid of the money the government gives for petrol, but without upsetting workers. They made some tough rules for getting rid of it. The rules for the removal of the subsidy are in a law called the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). But they aren’t doing it yet because they waited 18 months, and the time is up in June.

The person in charge of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources said they are trying hard to make sure that if they remove the subsidy, it won’t make life too hard for people. Tinubu said he will also remove the subsidy, but he needs to figure out how to do it without causing problems for workers before he becomes the leader.

The person who will be the president soon needs to make sure that all the people in Nigeria get along well. They have to start a process to make everyone feel better and come together. Right now, some people in Nigeria do not like each other because of their tribes or religions. He wants to make sure that the important offices in the National Assembly are divided equally and fairly. He also needs to prove that he is innocent of serious accusations made against him in court by the Labour Party’s candidate. Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar are two important people in the PDP.

The people who counted the votes said that the APC candidate won the election. He got more votes than the other candidates from the PDP and Labour parties.

Last week Tinubu gave 13 names of important Nigerians to be on a committee for the President’s inauguration on May 29. But the PDP criticized Tinubu because he didn’t choose anyone from the South-east region to be on the committee.

The PTC asked for people to join 13 groups that will help with the council’s inauguration. The 13 names were given in response to this request. Boss Mustapha is in charge of the PTC.

The committee had to plan a week of activities for the inauguration of Tinubu and the Vice President-elect Shettima. They will become the president and vice-president on May 29. Tinubu gave the council the names of Bagudu and Edun from Kebbi State and Lagos State.
