Two guards went to jail because they stole bedsheets and buckets from a hotel

Two workers from a hotel in Jos, named Ayuka Philip (22) and Daniel Adekuchili, were sent to jail for six months each by the Magistrates’ Court for stealing things like bed sheets, buckets and drinks that belonged to the hotel.

A judge named Magistrate Shawomi Bokkos punished Philip and Adekuchili because they admitted to working together to steal something.

Bokkos said that the punishment will teach others not to do the same thing.

The judge told the guilty people that they could pay a fee of N5,000 each or pay N12,000 each as payment for their wrongdoing.

Before, a lawyer named Insp Monday Dabit said in court that Richard Victor reported the case on March 25 at Anglo-Jos Police Station. Richard Victor complained about something.

Dabit said that some people who were in prison got a spare key to the store and took four sets of bed sheets, eight plastic buckets, and different kinds of drinks.

He said that breaking the law in Plateau is bad and can result in punishment.
