The Nigerian capital, Abuja, is expected to have a power outage on Saturday, according to the Transmission Company of Nigeria, or TCN.
The TCN spokeswoman, Ndidi Mbah, signed a statement announcing that the power outage will endure for six hours.
Mbah announced that normal maintenance on its 132kV line 1 at the transmission substations in Gwagwalada and Apo is scheduled.
The following locations were noted as being impacted by the outage: Games Village, Stadium, Wuye, Utako, Life Camp, Idu, Kabusa Garden, TradeMore, Pyakasa, Aherita, and Chika.
He also mentioned that the 132/33kV Kukwaba transmission substation will experience power outages.
“From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., the maintenance will be performed.
“The power supply will be restored as soon as the specified maintenance work is finished,”
