On Tuesday night, the Lagos State Police Command said that singer Azeez Fashola, better known by his stage name Naira Marley, had been taken into jail as part of the investigation into the death of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad.
According to a statement released by Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, “Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities.”
Naira Marley tweeted late Tuesday night that he had arrived in Lagos to assist with the continuing investigation and that he would be meeting with the police the following day.
