Posted by Nwankwo Kanu, a legend of Arsenal, wrote a message wishing Nigeria’s Super Eagles well against Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final on Sunday.
After defeating South Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, respectively, in the AFCON semifinal match a few days prior, both teams advanced to the AFCON final.
Last month, the Super Eagles had defeated Ivory Coast 1-0 in their Group A match.
However, Kanu also pushed Jose Peseiro’s team to defeat the Elephants in a Twitter posted on his official X account prior to the AFCON final.
“Are you able to believe it? Amazing vibe at the AFCON as we approach the finals,” Kanu wrote.
“Wishing Nigeria the win over Ivory Coast, the host nation.
“Lead the way, Super Eagles.”
