Two alleged serial killer cultists were reportedly taken into custody in the state’s Ihiala Local Government Area by Anambra police.

The offenders were taken into custody during a special operation by the Police Crack Squad, which was assigned by Mr. Aderemi Adeoye, the Commissioner of Police.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said this in a statement on Monday in Onitsha.

He said that Emmanuel Okonkwo, 24, alias “Good and Bad,” and the ringleader, Chitana Oha, 25, alias “Kill and Bury,” had been taken into custody by commanding officers.

According to the spokesperson, both suspects were taken into custody at their hideout in the same local government area—Okija.

According to Ikenga, the commissioner had promised to put an end to cult-related killings in Ihiala in the same manner that he had eliminated the threat in the state capital of Awka.

He revealed that the team had been ordered by the command to smoke out and clip the wings of every cultist in the state.

Ikenga gave the public the assurance that their security would remain the command’s top concern. (NAN)
