For Stealing 70 Phones in Oyo, a 54-Year-Old Man Was Arrested

Innocent Udoh, 54, showed up in court on Friday in Ibadan’s Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing 70 phones worth N1.75 million.

Udoh was accused of conspiring to steal and was not given an address.

But the accused entered a not guilty plea to the accusation.

The theft was carried out on March 30 starting at 12:00:00 a.m., according to the prosecutor, ASP Sikiru Ibrahim, who testified in court. m. to a 5 o’clock. m. in Ibadan’s Mokola district.

Ibrahim claimed that Udoh stole 20 used Android phones worth N1 million and 50 used Itel phones worth N750,000 from Mr. Dot Nwaoma Ezeco.

According to him, the offenses violated Sections 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

Magistrate Mrs. T. B. Oyekanmi granted the defendant N500,000 in bail with two sureties in the same amount.
