Candidates and 14 aggrieved parties have filed 14 petitions to challenge the Enugu election tribunal

According to the Enugu Election Tribunal, it has already received 14 petitions from unhappy parties and candidates in the Feb. Elections for the National Assembly were held on 25.

This was revealed by the Tribunal Secretary, Mr. Yusuf Folmi, during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Enugu.

Folmi pointed out that any disgruntled candidate or party was expected to submit their petition within the allotted time frame.

Only 14 petitions have been submitted to the Tribunal, but more are expected.

He spoke.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP), as well as their candidates, he claimed, had so far filed petitions.

Out of the total petitions submitted, “12 petitions are from candidates for the House of Representatives and the remaining two are from candidates for the Senate,”.

He stated.

LP, Onwuegbu Anayo, PDP, Okey George, PDP, Cornelius Nnaji, and Festus Amaechina, PDP, he claimed, are among the candidates who have so far filed petitions on his behalf of themselves.
