Burna Boy is the first African artist to sell out London’s 80k stadium

Burna Boy, an award-winning Nigerian performer, has accomplished another huge success in his career, and his fans are overjoyed.

The Common Person crooner made history when he sold out an 80,000-capacity stadium in London, becoming the first African musician to headline a stadium in the United Kingdom.

The concert, which was part of Burna’s Love, Damini Tour, took place on Saturday, June 3, and featured thrilling performances by Burna and worldwide stars such as JHus, Stormzy, Dave, and others.

The London Stadium confirmed the claim via its official Twitter handle on Saturday, before the event, and complimented the artist on her success.

“NOW SOLD OUT @burnaboy’s RECORD-BREAKING concert has now officially SOLD OUT,” it tweeted.

What a fantastic accomplishment for the first African musician to headline a stadium in the United Kingdom. Enjoy the show for those who are fortunate enough to attend.”

Burna Boy has already confirmed the event as part of his ‘Love, Damini’ international tour.

He performed some of his hit tracks in front of a shouting crowd, as well as previously unreleased material, such as his single with JHus from the latter’s widely awaited album ‘Don’t Say Militancy.’
