Bode George claims that they suspended Iyorchia Ayu in order to embarrass him

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s embattled Iyorchia Ayu was suspended, according to Bode George, a former deputy national chairman of the party.

George asserted that Ayu was suspended in an effort to force him out of office.

Ayu was recently suspended by the PDP Executive Committee in Benue State’s Gboko Local Government Area’s Igyorov Ward.

Ayu resigned and Umar Damagum was chosen to take his place after his suspension at the ward level.

With five PDP governors known as the G-5, the embattled PDP Chairman had been involved in a bitter dispute.

The senior statesman responded by saying that by resigning, Ayu acted like a responsible manager.

George addressed the media and said:.

“Those who put Ayu on administrative leave at his ward did so out of a desire to make him look bad. He must act like a good manager rather than the principal of a kindergarten.

“I’m pleading with everyone to keep the peace; if they don’t, the crisis will consume this party the way they’re doing it.

“They took the actions they did by suspending him and taking the matter to court because he didn’t perform as expected. “.
