Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the 2023 Labour Party candidate, insisted that the recently concluded election for governor of Lagos State was a war, not a vote.

On Friday, Rhodes-Vivour stated during the morning show on Arise Television that the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) accountability needed to increase during the election’s conduct.

Rhodes-Vivour stated.
Whatever they want to call it or how they want to color the waters, what happened in Lagos was a war on Lagosians.

“In Ikoyi, thugs and hooligans who entered the area beat and had an impact on Yoruba people.

“Look at what happened with VCG as well, and the complicity of INEC as well in this process needs to be addressed so that If they want to try anything next time they would do things differently, give a perception of equity, fairness and justice, not these brazing rip over democracy in Lagos State. “.

The All Progressives Congress, or APC, candidate for governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was declared the winner by the INEC in March.

Sanwo-Olu received 762,134 votes in total, defeating Abdulazeez Adeniran of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 62,449 votes, and Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, who came in first runner-up with 312,329 votes.
