The highest court said it was okay for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima to become president and vice president.
On Friday, the Court rejected the PDP’s legal case to prevent them from participating in the 2023 presidential election.
The highest court said that the PDP’s request to remove Tinubu and Shettima from their positions was not good and rejected it.
Justice Adamu Jauro gave a verdict and said PDP should pay N2 million for interfering in APC’s elections and choosing their candidates.
Justice Jauro sided with Tinubu’s lawyer, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, and agreed that the PDP had no right to interfere in the APC’s affairs in an unfair way.
The highest court said that the PDP didn’t have the power to bring the case, and they also didn’t show any proof that Shettima did double nomination.
The PDP’s accusation that the Vice President-elect was nominated twice is very wrong and meant to trick the Court and the country.
The highest court agreed that even if the PDP is upset about how the APC chose their candidates, they can’t do anything about it.
“It is obvious that the PDP is getting involved in someone else’s business and being a nosy person without being invited. ”
