The police in Anambra State say a man named Nnamdi Emeh, who is a corps member, took N47 million from someone’s account and is now being searched for.

Emeh, a person doing a one-year service for the government, was helping the Anambra State Police Command as an IT expert. Emeh was sent to work with the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Awkuzu.

Emeh pretended to be a police officer with a high rank called Assistant Superintendent of Police. This made people look for him because it was not true. He was charged with hiding or moving around illegal money and having weapons he was not allowed to have.

The investigation found out that Emeh has used his computer knowledge and understanding of police work to expose some bad behavior of police officers in the area by posting on a blog without giving his name.

Yesterday, the Anambra State Police Command’s representative, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga announced that the person who reported a crime is now in their custody. They were caught by the police in Benin Republic when they were attempting to run away from getting in trouble.

Ikenga spoke.
