The leaders of the election organization in Nigeria are meeting secretly to discuss the upcoming election in Adamawa

People are arguing about the extra election for governor in Adamawa State that happened on Saturday because of something the person in charge said.

All the top leaders of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are currently having a private meeting at their main office in Abuja.

This happened just one day after the leader of the election group told the person in charge of organizing the voting in Adamawa State, Hudu Yunusa Ari, to not participate in any activities related to the election there.

The person in charge of elections said that Aisha Dahiru from the APC won the extra election on Sunday morning. This caused a disagreement because she beat the current governor from the PDP.

The INEC called Ari to Abuja quickly and said that his announcement was wrong and he was taking over the job of someone else.

On Saturday night, the collation exercise for the election results had stopped. They had already announced results from 10 areas and Binani was losing to Fintiri.

They were going to start counting votes from the last 10 areas at 11am on Sunday. The person in charge of the election was not there when Ari said that Binani won.

The constitution says that Lamido is the person who can say who won the election.
