Reno Omokri, an author and former presidential aide, has attacked Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the incoming president, on Instagram.

Reno referred to the president-elect as a “drog Lord,” and added that he did so on purpose for selfish reasons. He declared that no amount of money could persuade him to support Tinubu, and if he is inaugurated on May 29, he would torment him.

He posted a picture of Tinubu and wrote:.

“A low culture—one that may prosper materially but never spiritually or politically—is one where money, not respect, is valued above all else. Tufiakwa! Nyama! A society where a young child has the audacity to refer to his own father as “a nobody”.

Money is something that we will all leave behind on Earth. Do you know why a Bini man will engage in physical combat with you if you dare insult the Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo? It’s because they regard him not as a king but as their father. Because of this, their culture has endured for over a thousand years. Firm!

It will always be under the control of higher cultures that are based on respect until a culture has been recalibrated to stop centring around money and to gravitate toward respect. Just take a look at pre- and post-colonial Nigeria. In terms of power dynamics, not much has changed.

You also believe that everyone is driven by money because you worship it. akin to you. Bola Tinubu is a well-known drug lord (I’m spelling it that way on purpose to avoid revealing anything). I won’t urinate on him if he is burning. No amount of cash or posts will convince me to support him.

I’ll use my resources to protest his victory and back the Peoples Democratic Party petition. But if the Supreme Court does not reverse his victory, as I hope they will, I will recognize and accept him as my President on May 29, 2023, and I will torment him if he follows Buhari’s lead.

Money is the only reason you and your peers do anything. My family has never been in need for the past 500 years. And I’m not about to be the one who introduces poverty into my family tree by being the weak link. The results of my principles are the actions I take. “
