The leader of a church, named Pastor Tunde Bakare, has said that he will not call President-elect Bola Tinubu “My President” and he has given a reason for it.

On Saturday, May 27th, Pastor Bakare spoke in a webinar and said that the 2023 election had a lot of cheating and didn’t meet normal standards.

He said that the organization in charge of elections did a bad job and that Nigeria is going from a trustworthy leader to one who is not trustworthy.

Bakare

I went to the Glass House last Wednesday. That’s where Buhari is staying because his regular house is being fixed up. I told you that I did it for you. I want to tell you that when you became the leader, people respected you for being honest and not getting influenced by bribes. But now, the new leader who is taking over does not have the same values.

When there is a big meeting where lots of people come to listen, I will call Asiwaju (Tinubu) the President of Nigeria. But I won’t say he is my president. There is still a problem that needs to be fixed.

I joined the primary election and some people just dropped out without trying. So, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about what we did. We told the truth to those who have control or authority.

I didn’t see when they decided, I didn’t see when they gave me a bad score, but despite that, we were able to get the badge of zero and a badge of honor.

Bakare was asked if he would say yes if someone asked him to become a Minister.

I don’t really want to be a minister. I was asked to do something, but I said no. My life is more than just taking pictures with the president and saying hello. We will do it if it helps just one person.
