According to a statement made on Friday by SP Josephine Adeh, who serves as the command’s spokesperson, the deployment, which includes all intelligence and tactical resources at the command’s disposal and is anchored by inter-agency cooperation, was prompted by the need to address security issues that were roiling the nation’s capital.

She mentioned the deployment.

is distinguished by “strengthened police-community relationships toward intelligence gathering, visibility policing at all places of worship and social gatherings, stop and search duty, intelligence-led raids on hotspots, highway and border patrol, aggressive vehicular/foot patrol, and surveillance, inter-agency cooperation, and various other things.

In light of the foregoing, FCT Commissioner of Police AIG Sadiq Idris Abubakar wishes to reassure Territory residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the Easter holiday and beyond.

As he briefed senior officers from all of the Command’s units and formations on the Operation Order, the Commissioner tasked the officers with making sure that no detail would be missed in their performance of their duties in accordance with international best practices and respect for human rights.
