A 32-year-old woman named Mariam Yusuf has been detained by members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) after she was accused of stealing pepper and tomato baskets.

At Kulende Market in Kwara State’s Sango, Ilorin East Local Government Area, on Wednesday, the woman is accused of stealing the goods.

Ayeni Olasunkanmi, the NSCDC’s public relations officer for the Kwara State Command, confirmed the arrest and stated that the theft of soup ingredients had become a major problem in the market, which had led to a great deal of conflict between the traders.
