The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, praised Aliko Dangote, who is very rich in Africa, on Monday because he opened a new place called the Dangote Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki.

Sanwo-Olu said that Dangote is a person who doesn’t care about where someone comes from, and that he saw how Lagos and Nigeria can become rich, so he invested his money to make them successful.

The leader of Lagos said that Dangote didn’t have anything when he moved to Lagos 45 years ago but now he is the richest person in Africa.

He said that during the time he was in Lagos, the Nigerian billionaire created the largest empire in the world for Africa.

People like me who live in Lagos can say that the government of Lagos State has been very helpful and supportive to businesses since democracy began.

The President Elect and the current governor have worked hard to make the Lekki Free Zone a success. They have made the state a good place to invest in, which helped Our Group invest $30 billion in different industries there.

Sanwo-Olu said he is thankful to the Lagos State government and past governors for making it easier to do business in Lagos.

President Muhammadu Buhari said that the new government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu will continue to make progress on the Dangote refinery at the commissioning.

I believe that my replacement, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will continue to make our economy and business environment better. He will also focus on working with the government to help our economy grow faster.
