Award-winning English record producer and guitarist, Ed Sheeran has joined the list of celebrities that are salivating for the Nigeria Jollof rice.
One of Nigerian’s favourite food prepared with the following ingredients;
3¾ cups (750g) long-grain parboiled rice, 2-3 cups Tomato Stew, Chicken (whole chicken, drumsticks or chicken breast), Pepper and salt (to taste), 2 medium onions, 3 Knorr cubes, 2 teaspoons thyme, 2 teaspoons curry powder (Nigerian curry powder).
It will be recalled that there has been a recent debate on whose Jollof rice taste better between Nigeria and Ghana, which have made many people including celebrities crave tasting both countries different Jollof rice to know which is better.
While no one has publicly disclosed which Jollof rice taste better, it would be safe to assume that both countries have a different way of juicing up their own kind of Jollof rice, giving it it’s individually distinguished taste.
In spite of the seemingly obvious competition between the Nigerian and Ghanian Jollof rice, both countries have been able to individually create their own taste which gives them that unique difference.
Which is why popularly known English record producer, Ed-Shareen has decided to try out the Nigerian made Jollof rice.
Ed-Shareen after visiting Ghana got caught up in their culture, way of life and of course their meal, which is why he made known his intention to visit Nigeria, to taste their own version of Jollof rice.
In his words, he said; “I’ve got to get back to Africa. After the tour, I want to go and chill out there. I was in Ghana a few years back and I loved it. Now I need to go to Nigeria. I heard the jollof rice is really good there,”
