Posted by A 19-year-old tailor named Adua Fatogun has been remanded in a correctional center by an Ondo State Magistrate Court for the alleged theft of a pot of soup.
The incident occurred on October 12, 2023, at Ifeleye Street, Ayeyemi, Ondo town.
In addition to the stolen pot of soup, the suspect is accused of stealing gas cylinders and other items worth N311,100 from three individuals.
The charges include burglary and theft, contravening Section 383 and punishable under Section 412(1), 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Volume 1 Laws of Ondo State.
Fatogun pleaded not guilty, and the case is scheduled for trial on February 19, 2024.
