Buhari gives awards to Garba Shehu, Laolu Akande, Bayo Omoboriowo, and others

President Muhammadu Buhari has given awards to 339 people, including Garba Shehu, who works for him. He did this just a few hours before giving up his position as President to the new administration.

Shehu and Laolu Akande got an award called the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON). They work for the Vice President and help with media and publicity.

The boss of State House, Tijjani Umar, got an important award called OON.

During the 8 years of the President’s term, Bayo Omoboriowo and Sunday Aghaeze took pictures for him. They were recently given awards by the government – Bayo got MFR and Sunday got MON.

These people received an award for doing a good job in serving the country. They are Tolu Ogunlesi, who works for the President on social media, Tolani Alli, who takes photos for the Vice President, Adamu Sambo, who reports for NTA, and Emmanuel Anrihi, who films for NTA.

The Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs said in a message that the winners should go to their office to get their certificates and medals on June 1, 2023.
