According to reports, Bob Lee, the 43-year-old founder of Cash App, was fatally stabbed in San Francisco, California.

The tech tycoon, who formerly held the position of square Chief Technology Officer, was attacked at 2:35 in the morning in the Rincon Hill neighborhood of the city. m. according to San Francisco police, on Tuesday, April 5, early in the morning.

When police arrived, they discovered a 43-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. Lee was later identified as the victim by CBS News.

Police told the outlet that Lee was taken to a nearby hospital before he passed away from his wounds.

As of early Wednesday, no one had been arrested, the source adds.

Since November, Lee had been the company’s chief product officer. MobileCoin is a cryptocurrency company based in San Francisco. His LinkedIn page lists a year of 2021.

According to his profile on MobileCoin’s official website, Lee also worked at Google during his successful tech career, where he oversaw the launch of the most popular operating system in the world and the core library team for Android.
