At Benue Yahoo Academy, 14 Yahoo Boys Were Arrested (PHOTO)

In Makurdi, Benue State, on Wednesday, agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Makurdi Zonal Command detained fourteen individuals they believed to be online scammers at a training facility for prospective scammers.

In a statement released by the Commission on Thursday, it was stated that agents acting on intelligence apprehended the suspects in a three-bedroom apartment on Achusa Road in Makurdi that was being used as a training ground for people interested in cyber fraud.

Aese Sonter, Nyoosu Terungwa, John Kator, Udi Micheal Aodona, Terungu Mnyam, Iorwuese Terhide, Ule Francis, Imoter Gloor Emmanuel, and Samuel Lubem were named as the suspects.

Wergba Tertamge, Erukaa Ephraim, Agenale Franklin, and Abechi Toryila are among the others.

Laptops, ATM cards, phones, a Toyota Corolla, and a Firman generator are among the items found.

The suspects would be brought before the court upon completion of the investigations.
